hard to believe that two weeks ago today ian and i were in the hospital gazing at our new baby boy in his bassinet. fast forward to two weeks later and ian's holding a dozing, post-nursing connor on the couch.
connor lost his umbilical stump yesterday so ian gave him a bath today. he seemed to like having the water pouring over him, but was not a fan when it stopped.
he continues to nurse like a champ and i've started pumping and freezing milk when i feel like i have a lot of extra during the day. i figure it's good practice to get into.
we've got a doctor's appointment on monday and he's going to be getting a bunch of vaccines at that point...not looking forward to the aftermath of that, but i figure i'll just nurse him a little extra and give him all of the snuggle time that he needs.
we're also starting to get food deliveries on monday from our church. three evenings a week for a month (!) someone from our church will be stopping by with dinner for us. i figure i may as well put regular (read: maternity still) clothes on and make sure that i'm showered on those days :)
i'm going to go and join ian and connor on the couch now...rainy day and evening in virginia means snuggling with two of my favorite guys.
